As if Douglas Karr wasn’t cool enough. At the Southside Smoosiers Tech Club meeting at The Bean Cup tonight, I find out that Doug was an extra in one of my absolute favorite movies, "The NeverEnding Story".
Yep, that’s him, the neighborhood bully looking guy coming down the street. Now I know I should have said yes to being an extra in The Shawshank Redemption when I was in college. It was filmed at Mansfield Correctional facility in Ohio, which is just north of where I went to school.
