The Indianapolis Colts have now finished what could have been a perfect season with a record of 14-2. I’m still really hoping their throwing in the towel on the Jets game will pay-off and allow them to run through the playoffs and make it to the Super Bowl again for a win.

I read an article today saying that NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell may start looking into the issue regarding the Colts not playing their starters in against the New York Jets in week 15.

Commissioner Roger Goodell says the NFL competition committee will review league policy regarding late-season games where teams might be tempted to rest their starters for the playoffs.

I’m still irritated that the Colts threw away the game that they could have easily won. This week’s Buffalo game could have been more difficult for sure with the weather conditions. With Wes Welker getting hurt today and not playing in the playoffs, the decision to rest starters seems a lot smarter now.

Regardless of my feelings towards the individual game decision, the last thing I want Goodell or anyone else in the NFL doing is deciding individual player decisions for individual games.
