Procrastinator’s Anonymous

Okay, so it’s not anonymous (anyone else always a little challenged when spelling that word?) since everyone knows me by now. My friend Daniel over at Put Me in the Zoo was the most recent person to share this little nugget of joy for me. Since I have plenty of other things to be doing, I figured this was a good time to finally post this on my blog.

You fire up iTunes, ask the following questions (is it just me or is it a little weird to be asking your computer questions) and use the song title that’s playing as the answer to the question.

  1. What do you think of me, iTunes Jukebox? – “Brother’s Keeper” by Rich Mullins on the WOW 1996 Disc 2 [You know it's sad that I have to be taken care of by a software application from Apple]
  2. Will I have a happy life? – “19″ by Paul Hardcastle on Living in Oblivion: the 80′s Greatest Hits [Hmmm, if I were younger than 19 that might concern me a little bit as a morbid prediction of something to come]
  3. What do my friends really think of me? – “Charade” by Harry Connick, Jr. on Come By Me [Oooh, that hurts! I don't think it's true though, maybe I'm charading myself]
  4. Do people secretly lust after me? – “It Ain’t You” by Squirrel Nut Zippers on Hot [Yeah, that one didn't come as much of a surprise. I'm not what you would call an attractive man.]
  5. What should I do with my life? – “Tryin’ To Get That Feeling” by Barry Manilow on Greatest Hits [What feeling would that be?]
  6. Why must life be so full of pain? – “Where We Were Before” by Blessid Union of Souls on Blessid Union of Souls [See, it's all about the decision we make that determine where we end up]
  7. Will I ever have children? – “No One Else” by Weezer on Weezer [How appropriate! How did they know we've taken measures already?]
  8. Will I die happy? – “Ice” by Sarah Mclachlan on Fumbling Towards Ecstasy [That's kind of weird too. I almost died in college, sledding accident, through a chain link fence into a reservoir on the back side of a dam. Drowning in ice cold water was a pretty calm way to pass on]
  9. Can you give me some advice? – “Something In The Way She Moves” by Billy Joel on Greatest Hits [Pay attention! Before speaking!]
  10. What do you think happiness is? – “Badiyah” by Take 6 on Join the Band [I don't know what that means, so I asked "What does that mean?" - "Forever In Love" by Kenny G on Breathless, okay that makes more sense]
  11. What?s my favorite fetish? – “Tears In Heaven” by Eric Clapton on Unplugged [Great! Whatever it is it makes God and angels cry]
  12. Am I a total freak? – “The Downeaster ‘Alexa’” by Billy Joel on Greatest Hits Volume III [I must love North Atlantic fishing boats]
