All of these photos were taken by my son at our trip to the Indianapolis Zoo today. Not too bad I don’t think. It’s interesting to see his perspective on things. He would have taken more but the camera battery ran out of juice and the back-up battery was dead too. They’re both charging now so we’ll be prepared the next time.

Okay, the picture he was in he didn’t take, but if I’d shown him how to use the self-timer he probably would have done it himself.
He’s a budding star of National Geographic! I think it’s so cool to let kids run wild with the camera. Too many times grown-ups are busy worried they’ll waste film, break something, or miss a good shot. That attitude results in missing out in seeing a fresh perspective on things as well as empowering the kid to really feel like a big shot. Kudos to you and your son!
Yep, I really enjoy seeing what he does with the camera. I told him yesterday that one of these days I’ll get me a new camera and this one will be his for good. I decided giving him some online albums through Picasa would be a nice touch.
