A friend of mine got to meet, shake hands and speak with Barack Obama on his plane at the Indianapolis Airport.
I’m not going to be voting for him, but it would be pretty cool to someone of that current popularity. She absolutely loves him and can’t stop talking about him.
I personally just can’t wait for all this “politics” to be over and get back to actually doing something about what we think is broken instead of just talking about how it needs to change and what plans we have to fix it all.

Yeah, meeting "celebrities" is quite interesting. However, I think we often forget that they are just people too. I met several movie stars when I lived in CA. People out there have a much more laid back approach to fame. I suppose it's because you're more likely to run across a celebrity there. Still, I can't understand the messianic status that is being attributed to Obama. He's just another politician telling us what he thinks we want to hear. I'll reserve judgement for whomever wins the Presidential election to see what is actually done. My guess is that we will get the same old thing regardless. However, you gotta love the circus show that's going on right now.
