Just finished watching this movie with my kids. It was very good and taught a very good lesson to the kids. I’m a huge Bill Cosby fan and would love watching the Fat Albert cartoon on Saturday mornings along with Bill Cosby doing “Picture Pages”. I would also listen to Bill Cosby’s comedy albums and was aware that many of his stories and Fat Albert themes were based on his life growing up as a child.
What was really cool about the Fat Albert movie was that at the very end it was dedicated to the “real” Fat Alber, Albert Robertson. And each of the other character’s real-life counterparts were shown with Bill Cosby. The casting job done for the movie was excellent and I was very impressed by how closely they were able to match similar looking people.
