The Signal vs. Noise blog just directed me to a new website called Riffs.
Their original reason for the post was to provide kudos for some navigation elements that were improved. As many people are aware, it’s almost a given that if you click on the logo of a company on the website, it will take you back to the homepage (and don’t you hate it when it doesn’t?). The Riffs website has taken that a step further (supposedly) in that when you mouse over the logo it changes a bit and the “Riffs” changes to the word “Home”, giving further confirmation of the normally desired functionality. The problem is, when I go to the site, it doesn’t do that, in fact if I click said logo, it doesn’t do anything!
That aside, the site itself looks pretty cool. I really like their navigation structure of the very simplified logos for each Riff category. I’ve added it to my Yahoo! MyWeb2.0 and we’ll see if it beats my interest in Epinions, which I haven’t written for in quite some time!
