I have been having the same problem and it’s really driving me crazy. I have been searching on the support forums at WordPress but no one really knows how to fix it. I even tried to get my host to help me but they had no idea really and kind of gave up. *sigh*

Hopefully we will solve this. I also know for a fact some comments have been from real people because they let me know. I hate the idea of loosing comments, and wonder what people may have said. :/

I don’t get a lot of comments on my site, but just about all of them are spam anyway. I was noticing a lot of redirect hits on one of my sites, but it appears an update of the CMS fixed that problem. In other words, look at your logs, it could be a ‘bot hitting your site and doing a bit of mysql injecting.
