I can’t remember now what I signed up for requesting to be added to a mailing list for drdobbs.com. Regardless of that though, I should be able to unsubscribe right?
I’ve followed every instruction they’ve provided on their site to be removed from their mailing distribution, yet I continue to receive e-mail from them. So, I’ve decided to e-mail them back and copy in a few other related addresses so hopefully someone real will actually read my request.
I continue to receive e-mails from you even thought I have repeatedly followed the processes outlined in the e-mails to be removed from the mailing list. I have copied this e-mail and posted it to my blog as a record of having another request for you to cease and desist from sending me e-mail to my address.
Please confirm receipt of this message, and outline the actions you’re taking to make sure I do not receive another e-mail from you unless explicitly requested on my part.

Here’s a screen shot of my successful request to be removed. I’ve got a task set in my calendar now to follow-up with them in 10 days to see if I’ve been removed. I’ll see you on July 22nd!
