I’m not sure when I saw this or completed it for myself, but decided I’d share here with everyone if you were interested.

  1. I’ve had three near death experiences
  2. I like eating the tails of fried shrimp
  3. I’ve biked down the coast of California and gotten college credit for it
  4. I biked right past Michael Keaton as he was jogging in Malibu
  5. I met my wife, moved, got engaged, married and made a honeymoon baby in 261 days
  6. I have kept the ticket stub for every movie I have ever seen
  7. I have never travelled outside of the United States
  8. I have serious issues related to my children and them having loose teeth that need pulled
  9. I was a radio DJ for a 50′s & 60′s music show when I was in high school
  10. I represented the state of Kentucky in the Independence Day Parade in Washington, DC on July 4, 1992
  11. I designed the county flag for the city I grew-up in
  12. I’m not a big fan of dogs
  13. I own 300+ gallons of aquariums that are not setup
  14. I regret having not gone into the military
  15. I’ve only been in 5 relationships prior to my marriage, all after high school
  16. I once drove to Chicago from Nashville to meet a girl I met online; I ended up leaving in the middle of the night to drive back.
  17. I have rejection letters from every NBA team in the league
  18. I have always dreamed of being the next David Letterman
  19. I was senior class president in high school
  20. I have submitted applications to be on Survivor five times
  21. I have never broken a bone in my body
  22. I’m somewhat of a country boy at heart, but HATE country music
  23. I did the sound effects on Carman’s “Mission 3:16” music video
  24. During college I climbed a 300’ radio tower multiple times, with no safety equipment, once during a thunderstorm
  25. In 2nd grade I barfed on my teacher

Through the pursuit of my wife, we are purchasing and using more organic foods, significantly reducing our intake of high fructose corn syrup and other sweeteners from our diets and taking other steps to eat smarter.

We have a friend we’ve made recently that owns and operates his family farm, that’s been handed down through seven generations of his forefathers. I spoke with him in detail yesterday after church and I’m excited and interested in his efforts for doing something a bit different in the world of farming compared to what’s been the model for the recent past.

Darby is going back to the history of connecting with the land and raising livestock on that land in a very sustainable and healthy method. In his words, his pursuit of farming is a very spiritual endeavor and a reconnection of the history of humans being connected to their food and taking care of what’s been entrusted to them in these efforts.

Our farm is a 7th generation family heirloom in which we take great pride. Settled in 1828, we are now in the process of transitioning this land once again into a sustainable family economy using methods and practices that allow us to produce truly “authentic food”. In 2007, we began in earnest by producing pastured poultry, and in 2008 we added pastured pork to our operation.  In 2009, we offered grass-fed beef for the first time and 2010 has already seen us add a small egg laying flock as well ramp up our poultry and pork quantities to meet the growing demand for our high quality meats.

There’s a new C-note coming out of the presses and it’s got a load of new security features. Here’s a video preview of what you can expect.

Some people love it and some people hate it. I think it’s cool, just wonder how much it costs to produce bills with this kind of technology. Is it really worth the investment?

Well, since he was on Entertainment Tonight last night, I think it’s safe that I can mention it now.

My old roommate from college and dear friend, Dana Baker, has been selected to be on a new ABC tv show that will follow the efforts of a few individuals as they SUCCEED in losing weight and improving their health.

What’s different about this show from shows like The Biggest Loser, is that camera crew and trainer will follow each individual for an entire year and chronicle their efforts. I’m not sure when the show will air, but stay tuned, you can bet I’ll let you know.
