Our family had a great camping trip last weekend. It was our first camping trip as a family and the first “real” camping trip ever for my wife and two kids. We had really rough weather and rains on the Friday night but the rest of the weekend was absolutely beautiful.
I’m really liking this slideshow feature of Picasa web albums.
After hearing the rain pitter-pattering on the roof and windows outside and being a little tired it made me wish for a happy place I had as a child growing up.
It was on the front porch of my grandmother’s house on 1317 Clay Street in Bowling Green, KY. When their was a gentle rain I used to grab the big, red, poofy pillow and go lay down on the porch swing and take a nap while listening to the rain.
Ahh man, now I’m getting all sentimental and wishing for another time and another place.
I’m going back to the Dark Ages for a couple of days and will be with no computer and probably no cell phone and Internet access. Keep me in your prayers. I could go into a technology depravity induced coma.
If you don’t hear from my by Monday morning…..
…. just wait longer.
One of my latest “clients” is my pastor. I’ve set him up with a blog and introduced him to twitter.
I just found out he reads my blog, which shouldn’t really surprise me but it made me think.
Do I post stuff I wouldn’t want my pastor to read?
I don’t think I do or would. I’m generally unconcerned with what people think about what I think. Does it make a difference?
I know it was a little thought-inspiring when I found out some members of my extended family read my blog. I know they don’t understand how I think or why many times.
The question still remains. Will I blog any differently knowing my pastor is reading?
Would or do you blog differently if your pastor or family read your blog?
If you’d like to see how I recently “acted up” at church, feel free to follow this link to a video that hopefully will give you a chuckle.
It seems I’ve been “character typed” for many dramas in our church. Fine with me. I have fun with it.
I was told yesterday that Dan (my co-star) are the Bob & Larry of the real world. I’ll take that as a compliment because I am pretty close to being a vegetable already and Larry does great work.
