With my little interests in web design, I frequently help clients choose a domain name for their services. This recent blurb by Dan Miller over at 48 Days just further illustrates how paying close attention is vitally important.

Watch Your Name — When starting a business I always recommend that you carefully check how the Internet domain rendition of your business name will appear. I?ve seen some disasters like these:

  • Who Represents? a database for agencies to the rich and famous: www.whorepresents.com
  • Experts Exchange, a knowledge base for programmers: www.expertsexchange.com
  • Find a therapist? www.therapistfinder.com

So, spell it out and think about what you’re registering before you do.

  5. [...] Anyway, the idea of someone looking at the “questionable” domains I’ve been to reminds me of a post from Jason Bean today, where your domain name may send the wrong message (very funny). I’ll try and not to find a therapist through http://www.therapistfinder.com or my accountability partner may begin to pray without ceasing for me. [...]

    Hi dude!

Christmas Day falls on December 25. It is preceded by Christmas Eve on December 24, and in some countries is followed by Boxing Day on December 26. Some Eastern Orthodox Churches celebrate Christmas on January 7, which corresponds to December 25 on the Julian calendar. December 25 as a birthdate for Jesus is merely traditional, and is not thought to be his actual date of birth.Good luck!
