Ben = Peer

Note the title of this post is related to those terms of others in influence over you, your “peers”, as in “peer pressure”. This should not be confused with the bodily function that occurs when someone suggests they’ve just had a bio-break. So, this to say Ben is exerting some peer pressure on little ol’ me.

I’ve seen this posted on a couple of blogs, but hadn’t done it until my friend Ben posting recently about his experiment with said activity. Here’s the idea, just put your name followed by the word “needs” in a Google search and list the first 10 things that are shown as results. Here are mine:

  1. Jason Needs a Pismo
  2. Jason needs your micro-cash
  3. Jason needs to SHUT UP…” [Note: Wondering if I should continue at all...]
  4. Jason needs to… – respect personal space when meeting new …
  5. Jason needs some developers
  6. Jason Needs Your Help
  7. Jason needs to diet because he has become too fat.
  8. Jason needs… A fun meme that was featured on the Blingo website [Note: This was a link to the same activity I'm doing now, so it really took the personal touch right out of it!]
  9. Jason needs to eat according to a controlled carbohydrate meal plan
  10. Jason needs a new job

What’s the deal there! Six out of 10 could be correct. It’s like a Magic 8-Ball or something. I’m going to try something different to test this further. Here’s my list of “Jason really likes….” on Google’s little 8-ball of insight!

  1. Jason really likes cats and severe (to the point of being severely depressing)
    buildings
  2. Jason really likes to draw
  3. Jason really likes competitive swimming
  4. Jason really likes wheelies in the snow
  5. Jason really likes Courtney
  6. Jason really likes his hot food
  7. Jason really likes this song
  8. Jason really likes Hunter
  9. Jason really likes “crystal chronicles”
  10. Jason really likes the sort that they get, it’s kinda spicy

Okay, that’s better. 2 of 10 confirmed, but would need more information on who Courtney and Hunter are, what song is playing, and what “crystal chronicles” really are.
