After hearing the rain pitter-pattering on the roof and windows outside and being a little tired it made me wish for a happy place I had as a child growing up.
It was on the front porch of my grandmother’s house on 1317 Clay Street in Bowling Green, KY. When their was a gentle rain I used to grab the big, red, poofy pillow and go lay down on the porch swing and take a nap while listening to the rain.
Ahh man, now I’m getting all sentimental and wishing for another time and another place.

Oh this brings back some great memories of my meemaw playing board games with me during the summer. She always seemed to have a full house, yet never missed an opportunity to play with us as grandchildren.
