If I see one more Survivor contestant quit or give-up, or just complain and cry about what they’ve gotten themselves into I’m going scream!
Have they not seen the show? Are they clueless? Did they think they missed the episode where the maid staff showed up and made the bed before leaving a mint on the pillow?
My wife had a good idea. If someone quits or has to be removed from the island without being voted off then the last person voted off comes back in their place. The only thing I don’t like about that idea is that it gives a person who has been “voted off” by the tribe another chance. Maybe it would be better to have two or three alternates available to step in if needed.

No…bring back the last voted off. Gives the rest of the tribe more reason to talk them into staying. Punishment to the tribe for not being able to keep the “team” together. Not as big a deal when it goes to individual immunity. People can quit all they want!
I am not a regular Survivor watcher (I have watched one (1) episode of Survivor - not by choice. . .I was travelling for work and my coworker *needed* to see the final of the first year while we ate at a bar.) But, I do think the idea of quitters is a severe detraction from the concept and entertainment value of the show. Since it may be impossible to prevent it, I think they should do something to factor it into the show (similar to bringing back a previously eliminiated contestant). My proposal (based on old shipping tales) is that the “posessions of the deceased sailor” are auctioned up among his peers. Have the contestants accumulate points and when they go find a means to fight it out for them.
this was the only episode i watched of this current season (and I’ve watched nearly every episode since season 1 and this reminded me so much of one of my coworkers. I remember thinking, “yes, quit” because I often think this woman I work with should.
Also, I personally decided not to watch Survivor anymore because I just think it’s not glorifying God for me to watch female rear ends hanging out of their shorts and showering topless… that sort of thing. I’m trying to keep my mind clear of that stuff and I have stuff I should be reading anyway, so I’ll fill my time in other ways.
