The MacWorld conference is going on right now and normally I’m not a big wacko when it comes to Apple products. I do appreciate their design and simplicity and thing they do some great stuff, I just don’t go all nuts over their stuff when it’s announced.
With that being said, I’ve got to admit, that little puppy above makes me drool just a wee bit. That’s stinkin’ impressive folks. Think about it, that’s sitting on a manila envelope. Your laptop bag just became one of those little zippered business portfolios.
- 13.3″ widescreen display
- 1.8GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor
- you could run Windows
- 64GB hard drive (pretty small by standards, but where would you fit much more?)
- built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth
- mouse touch pad that operates like the iPhone screen
I’ve got a client that’s purchased a new MacBook awhile back so I’m learning more by supporting him a little bit. Here’s the reality of things though, at $3,098 the likelihood of me getting one of these is pretty rare.

Yeah…it is pretty sweet looking, but I don’t think I would trade what I’ve got for it…for reasons of storage and functionality. I think they knew they had nothing to top their last unveiling (iphone) but gave it their best shot. Pulling it out of the manila envelope was a nice touch!
