I don’t know what it is with me and beatboxers, but I love ‘em! Here’s a guy playing the flute and beatboxing to the “Inspector Gadget Theme”. Part of me wonders if he’s really doing this at the same time or if it’s dubbed together. Either way, it’s very entertaining.
Some of these sayings really remind me of the stuff that comedian Steven Wright does. I love this sort of stuff and received this in an email today. Thought I’d share them with you.
- I had amnesia once — or twice.
- Protons have mass? I didn’t even know they were Catholic.
- I am neither for nor against apathy.
- All I ask is a chance to prove that money can’t make me happy.
- If the world were a logical place, men would be the ones who ride horses sidesaddle.
- What is a “free” gift? Aren’t all gifts free?
- They told me I was gullible and I believed them.
- Teach a child to be polite and courteous in the home, and when he grows up, he’ll never be able to merge his car onto the freeway.
- Experience is the thing you have left when everything else is gone.
- One nice thing about egotists…they don’t talk about other people.
- My weight is perfect for my height…which varies.
- I used to be indecisive. Now, I’m not sure.
- The cost of living hasn’t affected its popularity.
- How can there be self-help groups?
- If swimming is so good for your figure, how do you explain whales?
- Show me a man with both feet firmly on the ground, and I’ll show you a man who can’t get his pants off, or on for that matter.
- Is it just me, or do buffalo wings taste like chicken?
Pocket PC Addict shares that the Windows Mobile Device Center 6.1 is now available for Vista users that have had problems managing their mobile devices since they upgraded to the new operating system.
Is this only available for Vista users? I’d like some updated features and management tools. I still get random synch problems on my XP Pro machine with my PPC-6700 device running Windows Mobile 5 and ActiveSync 4.5.
Oh baby! I’d put this up against a Hummer any day! This is the real-deal, a fully-functioning replica of the Warthog from Halo. Four-wheel steering, machine gun and paint job to the tiniest degree of reality.
It was built for a series of short-films that are being developed and as OhGizmo! has already stated, I’m sure you’ll be seeing it more when the publicity onslaught of the release of Halo 3 hits full swing.

The news of Michael Vick’s alleged involvement with a dog-fighting business on his property has been on the headlines now for quite awhile.
I just read an article today where Upper Deck is removing any of their products with his picture or name on them, and earlier this week Nike and Reebok suspended their contract with Vick without pay.
Now my personal opinion is that Vick may not have been involved directly with the dog-fighting, but I can’t believe he had no clue what was going on at his property. I also believe that you should be held responsible to some degree for what takes place on your property unless you can confirm that you had been present on the property on various occasions and didn’t see anything illegal taking place.
However, with all of that it still seems like Vick is being seriously punished financially with all of this before he’s even had a chance for a legal judgement to be made against him. I’m not sure that’s really fair for someone to have to deal with, but I also believe a company has the right to make decisions like that regarding their spokesperson.
It should be a wake-up call for athletes to be a little more vigilant in their efforts to maintain a positive, public image while their under contract.
Oh man! This video just gets the adrenaline and excitement cranking in anyone that loves Halo from Bungie Studios.
The graphics on the 360 just look amazing!
I think I need to plan on taking a couple of days off of work when this comes out. I just got my Xbox Live account renewed. I’m curious as to how the online play may be improved and enhanced. Does anyone know?
The video on YouTube isn’t too bad, but you might get a little higher quality perspective directly from the Xbox website.
I really like the OneCare dashboard display of information about your computer in the new Beta 2 version.
Have you seen this website? No? Then you’re too busy yourself and you could probably really use it.
The DoMyStuff.com website allows you to pawn off little chores and tasks to other people that need the money and have more time than you do to get them done.
DoMyStuff.com provides a marketplace where anyone looking to outsource chores, errands, or projects can locate (and do business with) responsible and experienced local help.
At DoMyStuff.com, you can have all your chores completed by SOMEONE ELSE – all from the comfort of your own home.
For the past few years, thousands of companies have relied on similar websites to outsource their business needs – and saved themselves valuable time and money in the process. Now you can benefit from the outsourcing trend, too!
And, if you’re an individual or business that provides services to others, DoMyStuff.com is an easy-to-use outlet where you can showcase your abilities and grow your business.
If you often find yourself too busy to enjoy life, consider hiring a qualified person (or business) to give you some much-needed relief.
It’s FREE to register at DoMyStuff.com.
How cool is that? Now I might have time to actually play Civilization IV again. I love that game! It’s been WAY too long since I’ve played it though.
One of the other features I like about the new OneCare Beta 2 is this network identification and protection feature.
When your computer sees/connects to a new network it prompts you to categorize what type of network and what accessibility it has to your own computer.
I’ll tell you it works too! I accidentally clicked the wrong option at a client location and my computer was totally invisible to the computers sitting right next to me plugged into my own network switch.
One bit of annoyance though is that it seems to trigger a bit too easily and sometimes I see multiple windows pop-up for the same network that I’ve already approved. That’s why you see “The Strange Brew coffee house 2″ above. I was already connected to the network once.
For those of you using Word 2007, you probably are really enjoying the features that it provides. The only problem is that you’re also sending your documents to people that aren’t also using Word 2007 like you.
I could never remember to change my file format when I saved a document to the normal .doc extension, away from the new .docx extension.
You can go into your Word Options and specify the default file format you prefer to save your documents in for the future.
You can set this option for the other new Office 2007 applications as well.

I keep getting this error when I try to open a document in Excel 2007. Anyone else getting it? I’m researching Google now. Just thought I’d ask.
I downloaded and tried the newest version of Visual Web Developer Express “Orcas” Edition awhile back and found too many bugs for me to rely on it very much at all. I beta test to the extreme, no test environment, no safety ropes, just install it and see if it works until it breaks something. There’s some kind of comment in there about “danger” being my middle name, or maybe “stupid”.
Microsoft is getting closer to the final release of Visual Studio 2008 and with their Beta2 scheduled for release this week.
Perhaps more interesting though is that Microsoft’s venture into the Ruby phenomenon will also be available soon. Dubbed “IronRuby”, the application is in pre-alpha status. I don’t even mess with alpha status for the most part, so I’ll be waiting a bit longer to play around with that one.
