The good news is, we’ve been making some headway over the past couple of years on our debt situation. The bad news is I just went through all of our medical bills and have seriously depressed myself.
The medical bills total = $7563.64
All but a few hundred of that is due to my recent gall bladder surgery that wasn’t paid for because of crappy insurance. We were sold coverage that didn’t pay the way we were told it would when we discussed it with our insurance agents in our living room.
Anyone that’s got some extra money just lying around, feel free to send me some cash via PayPal. You could send it to bnpositive@yahoo.com. Okay, I’m kidding. Okay, not really.

I’ve driven by the fountain and sign above probably half a dozen times now and laughed every time. The last time I happened to have my camera and grabbed this shot, maybe it will make you laugh as well.
You may not be able to tell from the photo, but this little “swimmin’ hole” is about 6′ across and maybe 6″ deep. The folks of Anderson, IN have got it pretty bad if the public is so regularly jumping in this little puddle to cool off that it requires them to place a sign up asking them nicely not to do so.
I’m working in the office by myself today so I’ve had complete authority over the stereo music mix. I found a new station on Yahoo! Music Jukebox’s LAUNCHcast Radio: Forgotten Hits of the 90’s.
It’s been like a flashback to the high school days and all the songs that were popular as you were driving to school, cruising around our tiny town after ball games, or listening to the boomboxes on the bus coming to and from marching band competitions.
Here’s a sampling of some of the great hits I’ve been hearing that I loved:
- Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm - Crash Test Dummies
- If I Had No Loot - Tony! Toni! Toné!
- Now That We Found Love - Heavy D
- 2 Legit 2 Quit - MC Hammer
- Informer - Snow
- If I Ever Fall In Love - Shai
- Life Is A Highway - Tom Cochrane
- Jump - Kris Kross
- Set Adrift on Memory Bliss - PM Dawn (one of my all-time favorites.. what’s up D.Robbins!)
- Blame It On The Rain - Milli Vanilli (I loved ‘em, or whoever it was that was actually singing)
- Tennessee - Arrested Development
Good times! Anyone else wish they could go back to high school for a little bit? Maybe not the whole for years, and always have the ability to just come back to the future when you wanted.

I went to a Red’s game tonight with my son, brother and his daughter in Cincinnati. Although the Reds are in last place in their league, it was still a good game and good time. The weather was absolutely beautiful too. The breeze coming in through the lower level to our seats felt almost like an air-conditioner.
There were a few home runs hit while we were there, which made things exciting. We even got to see Sammy Sosa hit a grand-slam to put the Texas Rangers up, which the Reds could never come back from the deficit even though they made a good try of it in the bottom of the 8th and 9th innings.
Thinking about going to the zoo tomorrow. Hopefully I’ll let you know later how that went.
b5media, the blogging network of which I’m a blogger, got some good New York Times coverage recently. The article discussed the potential of making a career out of blogging.
I’m not focused too much on attempting to replace my entire income by blogging, but it does help the monthly finances.
I’d love it if you could stop by sometime and visit my sites at b5media. You might find some topics and posts of interest to you.
