Sidewalks made from recycle automobile tires. This is the best use for this stuff that I’m aware of besides grinding them up and using them for playground equipment mulch.

I’ve actually seen/used these rubber footpaths (’sidewalks’, pah, crazy Americans ;)), they are great. Everytime I step on them they make me feel like jumping a little bit. They also stop you smashing your face open if you trip (I know this because my son falls on them frequently at the playground - not because I can’t walk).
Much better than concrete.
Funny how quickly these things get around! I just got this post from my coworker minutes ago! Great minds, I guess? Yes, this is a fantastic idea.
