This is great! Probably don’t agree with his political viewpoints on everything, but very much appreciate the thought that went in to pulling off something likes this. Check out this website for photos and the story.

Big day today in the world surrounding the value of life. The husband of Terri Schiavo has won his case and the feeding tube that is keeping his wife alive will be removed. Interesting to me that we’re worried about one of two things here: 1.) her being alive is an inconvenience to Michael, or 2.) we want to let her die to end her suffering. Last time I checked, starving to death wasn’t too fun. And if being an inconvenience to people is a reason to let people die, let the killings begin!!! However, this is why I want to have a living will that will state, in the event of tremendous financial burden or no realistic solution for improvement, I want to die. But by all means, don’t let me starve to death. Just kill me. I give you permission, do it. But, would that be considered suicide? Hmmm…
In other news, FDA is in trouble because they haven’t approved a morning after pill that will basically prevent/abort pregnancy up to 72 hours after sex. Anyone else see the irony in the FDA getting so worked up about Vioxx and the increased “RISK” of heart attacks for users, as opposed to the GUARANTEED DEATH of a human life if you take a product as prescribed?
Just read this in a career advice newsletter. Thought it was pretty interesting commentary.
Overprotective families tend to produce chickens; critical families can create vultures. Soft, sentimental families may produce pigeons that strut and coo, and who run for cover in the storms. Families to whom life is a party can produce sparrows who flit here and there chattering meaninglessly. But an Eagle family is different. It is exposed to wind and weather and sun. And yet there is a quiet confidence, a solidarity to stand against the current winds of fashion and popular trends.
